About Orange Cat Events...

Orange Cat Events is run by Kendra Wenzel, accomplished racing cyclist, author and coach. In her management and event work capacities, she has been involved with the Sea Otter Classic since 2004, is currently working on the 2010 Sea Otter Classic pro road racing events and the Tour de Hood, and has also worked with the Cougar Mountain Classic and San Jose Classic. She was part of the management team of the Subway Pro Cycling Team in 2004 and 2005.

Kendra has over 20 years of experience in cycling, from riding century events to competing on the World Championship and Pan American Games. She has been coaching all levels of cyclists since 1994 and is a Head Coach and partner of Wenzel Coaching, which coaches cyclists, triathletes, runner and other endurance athletes all over the US, Canada and Europe.

Kendra was a professional cyclist for 11 years and was seven-year member of the US National Team. She won a gold medal at the 1991 Pan American Games in Cuba, was a Collegiate All-American, and medaled at the US Nationals 15 times. She directed Wenzel Coaching from 1995 to 2003, maintaining a yearly minimum growth rate of 15% since she retired from active racing at the end of 1999. She has now expanded into other areas since Wenzel Coaching took on its first CEO in 2003.
